Pressevent Chengdu, and the delivery of the Fryslan letter as a kick-off of the 5 year celebration of the relationship between the two provinces
The hospitality of the Sichuan Province was great. We loved and enjoyed the programme they arranged for us and of course was the spoil by putting us in a 5 star hotel more than welcome. We have some great memories about Chengdu and we love to come back in the future!
Own eyes experience and the media tend to go hand in hand and again at this event their was a lot of media-attention. This time their were 3 newspapers, 4 televisionstations and 1 radioprogramme. Go to media to check out the stuff we gathered.
Part of the programme we followed was a visited to the pandabase. It was a delight to see this awesome creatures in real life. An real relaxing experience one that reminded us ones more the importance of taking good care of our beautifull planet.
But the most exiting part of our stay in Chengdu was the invitation by the CamellHill 4wd jeep Club. They teached us what fourwheeldriving is really about. In two tuned Mitsubishi Pajero's we crossed down their track at for us adrenalising speed. This combined with the huge obstacles they were able to take it was an experience we will never forget. That one day can bring a lot was a thing we allready know but this experience combined with the after-diner in Sichuan hot-style and the private Karaokeparty including some real Dutch Heineken make this day for us A perfect day.
